Day 65

It is Sunday.  In other words, all of the veterinarians in the world are taking a day off-except the really expensive emergency one!  I won't even describe how incredibly miserable and sick Mia is. She has the parvovirus and hookworms.  We spent the entire day at the emergency animal clinic.  We had to get a credit card so we could foot her bill, and she is not looking good.  I am praying so hard that she'll make it.  I can't lose another baby.  Penelope just died in January.  We did everything right.  We got her shots as soon as we could, and she is spoiled rotten.  I want her home so badly.  She's in a quarantine room inside of a glass cage.  We couldn't even pet her before we left.  I am so worried she's going to die alone and scared in a little glass box.  My heart is broken.  I have to pick her up at 7:30 am, and then I have to take her to another vet so she can be monitored and treated for 48 more hours.  I hope she makes it that long.  Right now she's about 13 lbs.  I hope her tiny body is strong enough to beat this thing.  I don't think I'll sleep tonight.

Day 64

Today began well.  It was my first trip to a lake house- a friend of a friend of a friend's lake house.  It was nice pretending to be rich (haha).  The view of Smith Mt. Lake was gorgeous.  Our room was adorable, and we were with good friends.  I watched Buddy and his friends get a bit tipsy.  It was funny.  I caught them comparing abs.
Unfortunately as the night went on my little Mia started getting extremely sick extremely fast. We figured she was just overheated or stressed from the car ride, but it was much worse.  She showed no signs of sickness whatsoever until now.
